The Sims 4 has been released for two years now, but several features are missing in the game, which could make The Sims 5the best in the series of the popular game.
However, the fans are the people making The Sims game as popular and successful as it is today.
The forums, fan websites and social media postswere scoured, and the results of your wishes are outlined below.
1. Toddlers coming back
While a few The Sims 3 players were not satisfied about the game, Maxis, the developer decided to replace the age group of toddlers by adding more emotions to the fourth version.
Removing the toddlers out of The Sims 4 made the life simulation game not that realistic anymore, since the Sims turn from babies to children that go to school.
2. Babies being more like real Sims
The baby Sims should also be improved in The Sims 5. In each version of The Sims, the babies more act like dolls than real Sims.
The only things the Sims have to do is feeding, changing and cheering them up, which does not really include interaction. In real life, a raising a baby is much more difficult than the three things above.
3. Improved hair design
Even though the structure of CreateA Sim in The Sims 4 is very good, it just needs one field to be more developed: the hairstyles.
There is a possibility to use the grab mechanic in order to adjust the Sims’ bodies, but their hair is not that easy to accustom the hairstyles. Players have options in hair and hair colours, but it is not that extensive as in The Sims 3.
That game had the options to change roots, highlight, tip and base colours. Thanks to these options, more personality could be created for the Sims.
However, it would be even greater if the players could also change the lenght of the hair manually or accustom the standard hair styles in a whole. It would be overdone to see Sims with mowhawks reaching high into the sky, but more options in hair design would be appreciated.
4. An all-connected neighbourhood
In The Sims 3, the different lots, shops and housesin theneighbourhoods were more connected to each other, as the Sims could visit others easily, by car, by taxi, or even by jogging around. The Sims’ children could even go to school or to their friends by bike.
These neighbourhoods were much more entertaining than those of The Sims 4.
Since the technology of nowadays is so well-developed, it is expected (and hoped for) that The Sims 5 could be a combination of enrichments of the fourth edition and The Sims 3’s open-world neighbourhoods.
5. Wider range of vehicles
An open world also requires more vehicles to use when touring through the neighbourhood. In The Sims 3, the Sims had cars, bicycles, scooters, and even horses with The Sims 3 Pets expansion package.
However, in The Sims 4, there were no possibilities of using vehicles at all. Visiting other locations had to be done by an old-fashioned loading screen.
6. Pets everywhere
The indispensable expansion pack of both The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 is Pets. Having a cute cat or a loyal dog is what players are looking for, or even being able to ride horses. However, the pets are not yetavailable for The Sims 4.
Players would also wish to see a new version of The Sims already including pets. It can be frustrating to wait for years before an expansion pack is developed.
7. Seasons during the year
The expansion pack Seasons of The Sims 3 was successful. This included, of course, the four seasons being introduced to the game: winter, spring, summer and autumn. The players could even skip the seasons if it did not fit the story.
There is also a big variety in the weather: from extreme heat to thick snow, and different storms between the seasons.
Not only were holidays introduced into the game, such as Halloween and Christmas, but reality was brought to the Sims’ lives and neighbourhoods, and more clothing options for the Sims.
The seasons are still lacking in The Sims 4, and the players would also appreciate it in the release of The Sims 5.
8. Creating perfect neighbourhoods
Yes, in The Sims 4 it is possible to edit the neighbourhood, but it would be appreciated if the neighbourhoods could be created from scratch: choosing the terrain and environment before even having to create a Sims family and a house for them.
The new versions of The Sims only allow users to placing houses in standard neighbourhoods, which do not always offer enough space for building mansions and other aspects of the neighbourhood.
Until the release of The Sims 5, we will just have to wait for all of these requests to be included. This would be the greatest game of The Sims so far though!
